An Interview by Girl with Noah: Girl: So Noah, how would you describe the 4-H fair we competed at and why? Noah: It was hot, good, stressful, fun and hot. Good because we did great! Stressful because of all the people, and dogs and yummy smelling food. Fun because I got to compete with my favorite person in the world, and hot because the sun is made up of fire and other really hot stuff and emits the heat towards earth and... well, you get the picture. Also because it was the end of July. Girl: Explain what we competed in. Noah: Okay, so we competed in Obedience, you know, heeling, staying and being Obedient... like the name says. And Showmanship – walking in a pattern and looking our best (although that's not as hard for an unnamed dog as it is for an unnamed girl. *ahem*). Girl: Okay I'm just gonna ignore that comment about how I looked. What else were we in? Noah: Agility which is an obstacle course for dogs (not humans, though there was that one incident where... hang on Girl's trying to get my attention ... Umm, never mind that incident. Forget I said anything about it.) Agility has jumps and tunnels and a big triangle ramp thingy called an “A Frame”. And then on the last day of the fair we did Rally. Rally is similar to Obedience, except instead of a judge telling you what to do, there's numbered signs that say things like- and Girl: And how did we do? Noah: Girl, you of all people should know how we did!! Girl: I do, but our readers don't. Noah: Oh. You don't know? Why I thought I told you already... did you forget? Girl: Noah, we have more than one person who reads our blog, I hope. Noah: Yeah! The more the merrier! ... What was the question again? Girl: How did we do? Noah: We did great! In both obedience and Showmanship we got qualifying scores and in Agility we got Reserve Champion! And in Rally we did were last. Girl: Umm are you forgetting something Noah? ... Noah: Oh yeah! In Rally we got 1st place!!! (I was just pretending that I forgot.) Girl: Sure. “Pretending”. So out of all the events which one was your favorite?
Noah: Agility by far! I love getting to run fast and trying to do the obstacles correctly is a fun challenge. And I got a lot of lunch meat after that run! Coming in with Reserve Champion was a bonus! Girl: Yes Agility is so much fun to do together. Is there anything else you'd like to say Noah? Noah: Nope. Oh wait, yes there is *Ahem!* to our readers: Thanks for reading! Girl: Okay that's it! Noah: See ya later! or I guess I should say "type to ya later"! |
